Watercolor Blankie
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice® Baby
GAUGE: 12 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette st (k on right side, p on wrong side).
EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THIS PROJECT
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I, too, thought the blanket was reversible until I looked closely at the top edge in the photo. It appears to be folded over. If you look at the stitches on the back part of the blanket in the photo, they are reversed from the front, upside down. A VERY misleading photo.
There are lots of other problems with this pattern however. I couldn't get the stitches to come out like the photo at all, using the pattern as written. (I noticed the "upside down stitches" when I copied and enlarged the photo to try to figure out the pattern problems.) I think I've re-written it correctly (finally!) and will send my version off to Lion to see if my corrections are right, after I'm over being so frustrated. :-)
I give it two stars rather than one because I really do think it's a pretty blanket and I love the color combination.
