Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

NOTES:

1. Work in continuous rnds; do not join rnds or turn unless otherwise instructed.
2. To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over; yarn over with new color and draw through all loops on hook to complete st.

COZY
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Place marker for beginning of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around—12 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around—18 sts.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts; rep from * around—24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * around—30 sts.
Rnd 6: Working in back loops only, sc in each st around; change to B in last st.
Rnd 7: With B, sc in each st around; change to A in last st.
Rnd 8: With A, sc in each st around; change to B in last st.
Rnds 9 and 10: Rep Rnds 7 and 8.
Rnds 11–18: With B, sc in each st around; change to A in last st of last rnd.
Rnd 19: Rep Rnd 8.
Rnd 20: Rep Rnd 7.
Rnd 21: With A, sc in each st around.
Fasten off.

FINISHING

My husband loved these as a recent Valentine's Day gift. Made from Lion Brand Cotton Ease and Kitchen Cotton yarn. Perfect size as followed by directions. I didn't have to adjust as others had suggested, but am always grateful for tips as to what works for others in case I run into trouble. Great pattern!
