STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

NOTES:

Work in continuous rnds; do not join rnds or turn unless otherwise instructed.

APPLE
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 10 sc in first ch. Place marker for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around–20 sts.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around–30 sts.
Rnds 4–8: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 9 sts; rep from * around–33 sts.
Rnd 10: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 10 sts; rep from * around–36 sts.
Rnd 11: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 11 sts; rep from * around–39 sts.
Rnd 12: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 12 sts; rep from * around–42 sts.
Rnds 13–17: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 18: *Sc2tog, sc in next 12 sts; rep from * around–39 sts.
Rnd 19: *Sc2tog, sc in next 11 sts; rep from * around–36 sts. Start stuffing firmly. Continue stuffing as you go.
Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, sc in next st; rep from * around–24 sts.
Rnd 21: (Sc2tog) 12 times–12 sts.
Rnd 22: (Sc2tog) 6 times–6 sts.
Fasten off.

LEAF
With B, ch 4.
Rnd 1: 2 dc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch; working along opposite side of foundation ch, hdc in next ch, 2 dc in last ch; join with sl st in first dc. Fasten off.

FINISHING
With scrap of brown yarn, sew leaf to top of Apple. Leave a tail of brown for stem.
Weave in ends.
