Bebop Cardi
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®
GAUGE:
9 dc + 5 rows = 3 in. (7.5 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I would rate 4.5 because the tucked sleeves in the picture were a little misleading and the finished product is a little boxy. Still a very cute cardi for church. I made it for my skinny-minnie little sister who loved it right off the bat, but the small looked too large on her. I made a second for her friend, and it fit her great. If the person you're making this for has a thinner frame, I suggest buying a yarn that is a little thinner and just use the same hook. I made the third this way and it turned out great and fits her perfectly. :)
The third I made is the one pictured. I added a little pink button and I did: (ch 4, skip next ch, sc in next ch); around the yoke and down to where the bobble/3 dc pattern ends.
