Triple Play Scarf
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE:
4 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) holding 4 strands of yarn together.
Note: Due to the nature of the fabric when working with Speed Stix, gauge may vary throughout the knitting. Exact gauge is not essential to this project. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

I also think this is very ugly, BUT I am not knocking it for that since obviously many people like it. Different strokes for different folks.
I am knocking it because of the price. The Wool Ease Thick and Quick (I think I got that right?) is dang expensive for the very little that's in there. I just used 1 1/2 skeins for ONE hat. So I have no doubt this would take at least 20 skeins. And I paid $7.50 for each skein! That's $150 dollars for this project.
I know it would be worth it to a lot of people, but I just wanted to give a little price warning to anyone who is considering this.
