Crochet 5 1/2 Hour Throw

Lion Brand® Jiffy® - Homespun®

GAUGE:

3 sts + 4 rows = 6 in. (15 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

V-stitch (V-st) Work (dc, ch 1, dc) in indicated st or ch.

NOTES:

Throw is worked with 3 strands of yarn held together throughout.

THROW
With 1 strand each of A, B and C held together, ch 67.
Row 1: Dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 1, dc in same st, * sk 2 ch, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, sk 1 ch, dc in last ch.
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, *(dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1sp (V-stitch made); rep from * across, ending with dc in top of turning-ch.
Rows 3-40: Repeat Row 2.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Edging
From RS, join 1 strand each of A, B and C with sl st anywhere along outside edge of Throw. Sc evenly around outside edge of Throw. Join with sl st to beginning sc. Fasten off.
Weave in ends.

I like the pattern bc it's quick. The only problem I have is it's pretty heavy when it's finished. I made it for my husband in his favorite team colors for Christmas .
