Speed Hook Shell Afghan

Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®

5-dc group and 1 sc = 4 in. [10 cm] in shell stitch pattern. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

Ch 36 loosely.

Speed Hook Shell Afghan Reviewed by Cheryl Browder on 2012-04-16 *****
I'm working in this pattern now. I have two more ball of yarn to go. I bought 7 like the pattern call for. It is just beautiful ! But, I think the gauge is off. I never do the same pattern twice but this one I may consider making over and over again!
