Easy Triangle Shawl
Lion Brandฎ Homespun®
GAUGE: 8 sts = 4 in. [10 cm] in St st (K on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| Easy Triangle Shawl Reviewed by Robin Fritche on 2013-05-06 |

| I made this in less than three days (I knitted like mad, though, 16-20ish hours)) in the Wildfire colorway to wear for a performance I did in costume as Eponine from Les Miserables. Everyone loved it. It is so soft and drapes so beautifully. My mom wants me to make her a purple one...and I probably will! It might be a go-to pattern for friends as well, especially expectant mothers. It looks so much more complicated than it really is, and it only needs two skeins of Homespun! The yarn cost me about $10 at Wal-Mart. One change I'm going to try is to chain 8 or 9 instead of 7 around the border, because in my shawl, the loops are not that noticeable. I didn't check my gauge or anything...didn't think it mattered enough. I do love crocheting the live stitches instead of binding off. Also, I think I'm going to use this basic pattern in miniature to make myself a cotton head scarf!
