GAUGE:

8 dc = 3 inches. 

BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Pillow

Make 6 squares in the following colors:
ROUNDS 1–4: Color A
ROUNDS 5–6: Color B
ROUNDS 7–11: Color C

Make 2 squares in the following colors:
ROUNDS 1–4: Color C
ROUNDS 5–6: Color B
ROUNDS 7–11: Colors D, E, F, G, H, I

Lay out the squares following the photograph for reference: nine squares for the front panel and nine squares for the back panel. Join the squares using Color I and mattress stitch. Attach an 18 in. (46 cm) zip along one edge of the front and back panels. Sew three sides together using Color I and woven seam method. Stuff with an 18 or 20 in. (46 or 51 cm) pillow inner.
