Stitchfinder: Knitting: Cable: Retwisted Taffy

Pattern:

Rows 1, 3 and 5 Knit. 
Row 2 and all WS rows Purl. 
Row 7 Sl 4 sts to cn and hold to front, k4, k4 from cn. 
Row 8 Rep row 2. 
Rep rows 1–8.

Note: this is a generic pattern for creating this cable. For a single cable it would be 8 stitches. In the example shown, there is one repeat of the stitch with 12 stitches are on either side, so you'd need to cast on 32 (12 + 8 + 12) stitches and knit 12 stitches before and after the stitches for the pattern.
