Super soft

Really enjoyed working with this yarn! Very soft. If I had to give any caution it can be a bit splitting but probably just the nature of the fibers. It was worth it for me.

No consistent dye lots when you order

Be aware apparently Lion Brand no longer makes sure you get the same dye lot for your order. I ordered 5 skeins and received 2 different dye lots. For the black there is a very clear difference in the colors and I cannot work on the project I bought the yarn for.

Soft, fine yarn, clean, and no knots

I was pleased with this yarn. Sometimes regular alpaca yarn comes with little pieces of straw inside which make it annoying against the skin. This yarn is VERY clean. I really enjoyed using it. I made a blanket/throw with it by crocheting a strand of cotton/wool yarn along with the fine baby alpaca yarn, and the blanket will be sturdy, warm, and useful for years to come. I hope I can pass it down to the next generation.

Baby soft

One of my knitting buddies just finished a sweater using the Baby Alpaca and I am trying to finish my present project before beginning my version of the same sweater only mine will have more of the baby alpaca than hers.. Sooooo soft and yummy. Can't wait to start.

Great quality

I am very happy with the quality of the Baby Alpaca. Delivery was a bit pricey and it did not end up in the project it was intended for, as it is really very soft. I did not knit, but I have woven it into a shawl with Merino, instead. I still need to tidy up the ends, but I'm very happy how it turned out.

Beautiful and Soft

I used this to make a hat, and it came out really well. The yarn is soft and smooth; it's very easy to work with. It's also lightweight but still cozy--therefore, perfect for spring and fall. I would definitely buy this again.
