So great to work with!

I'm about 75% done with my first project using this yarn: a duster/cardigan. The yarn holds so well, the pattern is excellently defined, and easy to work with for a fairly new beginner to crochet. It is rough, not like merino. But even right on my skin, not really too itchy...some people would be really sensitive to it. BUT, it is so squishy and full feeling...it's going to be a really cozy duster when cold temps return.

Best yarn for Irish Crochet patterns

My love of Irish Crochet patterns has led me to Lion Brand’s Fisherman’s Wool. It closely resembles the wool found in Irish shops and works up beautifully. Its texture is a bit rough but that can be remedied with washing in conditioner. Since I love using 100% pure wool, this has become a favorite in all its rich, earthy colors.

My Go To Wool

This is a fabulous yarn. I’ve made throws, scarves, ponchos, baby blankets, coats and jackets and all with Fishermen’s wool. Love it!

Excellent yarn

I really enjoyed crocheting with this yarn... it has great yardage so I only needed 2 skeins for my project... the color is so pretty... I used the oak tweed. I want to felt the bag that I crocheted and I'm in the process of getting this bag felted. Normally, I'm not a wool person but for this project I made an exception and my go to yarn was Lion Brand fishermen's wool :) I'm very happy with my choice and the results. The pattern is a YouTube tutorial by Bag O Crochet.

Really happy with this so far. I’m making a sweater in the oatmeal colorway and have enjoyed working with it. It’s a bit rough in texture but it does soften some after being blocked. I wouldn’t wear this next to skin , but with a shirt underneath it’ll be cozy. I’ll buy this again for sure. Great value for this kind of yarn.

Very nice yarn

I love the way the fabric the yarn makes. I'm knitting a beanie with some Fishermen's wool, and it looks great. My only issue with it is that it is fairly split-ty (if that's the word) even though I'm using addi FlexiFlip needles with a good point.
But I'm happy with the yarn and I'm sure I'll buy more.
