you can not call this a blanket

Calling this a blanket is very misleading. The amount of yarn was not enough to make a blanket. it measures 16" by 45". I would not call it yarn more like a covered rope. very disappointed.
I did enjoy doing the hand crochet.

Hi Katherine - we're sorry you weren't able to match the dimensions in the pattern! (Lapghan 26' x 41'). Since this is hand-crocheted the size of the stitches will be determined by how big you make each loop, which could take some practice, and that stitch size will affect the size of the finished piece. It sounds like your stitches were narrower than the ones the designer made, so you could try taking it out and chaining more stitches to start with.
