Absolutely love this yarn!

Im a huge natural fiber nut, and this will be my go-to weight 3 yarn now. Soft, breathable, and great colors- I can't wait to see more! (Photo: Eucalyptus & Mineral; worked with 2 strands together J10/6mm hook)

Cottino is scrumptious to knit with!

This is my first time using this yarn….and it’s so nice that I'm writing my very first review! I love the wool/cotton ratio…I’m making a short sleeved summer sweater. I prefer cotton or cotton blends for summer knits, so was pleased to come across this yarn, then found that the wool content was very compatible with the stranded knitting I’m using. I'm able to easily fix any splittiness that comes up…if it was a bigger concern, I could use different needle tips. The array of colors, yardage and price point make Cottino an attractive value. I’m already thinking about what colors & pattern I’ll use for my next Cottino purchase!

Cottino Yarn Surprised Me

I will admit I was not too thrilled with the prospect of ordering this yarn. I did not have a pleasant experience with the colors of Hue & Me yarn BUT I needed a cotton/wool blend DK weight yarn in a neutral colors to blend with the Happy Place Yarn from Hobbii that wasn't so expensive. I am happily surprised with this yarn. I like it a lot! I've only ordered Goose Down and Onyx colors and so not disappointed. I have no qualms about trying some of the other colors, especially Raquet Club and Wisteria (not to use together in a project). Easy to work with and as someone else pointed out, a true DK weight. I haven't washed my project yet as it is still a work in progress. Haven't encountered any splitting and I've actually forgotten I am working with a cotton/wool blend yarn! Not hard on my hands at all!

Love Cotino Yarn

I read the reviews about this yarn before purchasing and was concerned about splitting. Yes, it does split more easily than other cotton/merino yarns I’ve used but if you watch your stitches you’ll be fine. I will certainly be buying this yarn again. Love the color and softness. Blocked well too..

Loved it… eventually

I had a hard time with Cottino splitting when I first started knitting with it. Start #3 was when everything clicked and I didn’t have any more issues. Love the colors and softness of this yarn!

Might be my new favorite yarn

I really enjoyed working with this yarn, I am designing 2 different crochet blankets using it and am going to try knitting with it next, but I have a feeling it will be great for that as well. I love the feel of it - very soft while still having good stitch definition, easy to get even tension, and the color palette is beautiful as well. I have used Goose Down, Azul, Navy, Black and Cider so far, all are very nice in person and the black does not feel different from the other colors (I have noticed with some other yarns the darker colors especially black can feel more stiff, that is not the case here. The black is just as soft as the lighter colors). I do wish there was a bright white available though - the Goose Down color is more of an Ecru, which is a really nice off/white light beige color, but a bright white would be nice to have as an option too. I will definitely be using this yarn again, I can see it becoming a go-to stash yarn.
