Looks AMAZING - but not loving the texture.

This came with the Ocean Hues Gradient Blanket kit that I purchased. I will say that the color of the yarn is AMAZING! I am using the black to light silver and absolutely love the color transition. However, I am not a huge fan of the yarn itself. It came with six cakes and I am halfway through the fifth cake. The third or fourth cake had three or four connecting knots tied into it. I'm also not a big fan of how the thickness of the yarn can vary. The yarn also has small sections that are hard....almost like they're coated in wax. I haven't yet washed this, so that may take care of this. In addition, the bottom/beginning of the blanket is already starting to fuzz, so I'm not sure how this will hold up long term.

Worked well for the kit

I bought the kit to use this yarn with (the South Shore Aura Blanket kit).

It was a little bit thicker than I was expecting but the blanket is Fantastic! I wanted the blanket to be a bit larger than was called for in the kit so I added a few chains. I also bought 9 cakes as opposed to the 6 cakes the kit called for. This allowed me to add a border too.

Overall I was quite satisfied with the yarn and the kit. I’m not a fan of acrylic yarn and by the end there were already a few fuzzy spots meaning it will “pill” as it gets used. BUT it would make a lovely gift. (The bed shown in the pics is a queen size bed so you can see the actual size of the blanket)

I do love the way the mandala yarn works in that if you fbegin with the white end and end with the green, the next cake you need to begin with the green end for a seamless color transition. I’ve never worked with yarn like that before and I love the easy transitions from cake to cake.

Enchanting ombré

This yarn is so soft and the colors are a gorgeous blend & fairly even in the dye. Chose this yarn for a queen size blanket. May order again for a baby blanket soon, in a different shade!

Delightful

Working on my second project with this yarn, both in the burgundy color, and it's been mostly a joy to work with. Slightly snaggy if you're somebody who crochets fast, but it's a nice texture and the gradient is very smooth. Would happily use this yarn again hopefully in some more colorways.

Beautiful colors

This yarn was so easy to work with. The colors are beautiful and just blend great

I was delighted with the color of the Mandala yarn, but disappointed because as I crocheted my blanket, the completed stitches became fuzzy and developed long strands of fibers and I had to go back and trim the edges of the stitches. I’ve never had yarn do this before and won’t be using it again. I was in a time crunch to complete it so changing yarns wasn’t an option.
I must say that I have always had great success with L.B. yarns in the past, and will continue to use them.
