Twist was interesting to learn

The yarn has a loose twist for the ply, makes for a soft, kind of sloppy, soft and spongy- on a good way. Just takes a minute to learn how to work with, just like any other medium you need to learn its language. Just wish the alternative colors, I got the teal, tan, and white came in bigger skeins.

Smooth yarn to work with

I wasn't sure I was going to like crocheting with super bulky yarn, but this Hometown has been very enjoyable to work with. Stitching is very smooth and the color - Reseda Dojo - is lovely.

Finished different on skeins purchased online

I bought some in the store that I LOVED, but I had to order more to finish my blanket. When I got the “new” blue, it did not have the same finish as the other and that made it a little larger and scratchier. The green was fine. So I used the “new” around the border and shortened the blanket. I’d use it again, but only if I bought in store and could look at the skeins. (Far left rows in the closeup are the thicker yarn)

Very nice bulky yarn!

Very easy to work with and works up fast. Will use again if I am doing a project with bulky yarn!

Hometown Homerun!!

Hometown is my go-to yarn for most of my large (and some small) projects. It is easy to handle; I have yet to encounter splitting; the stitches are beautiful; the colors are gorgeous (Hudson Bay is my particular favorite to add color and interest to combine with any solid color Hometown); the feel and drape of this yarn are both cozy and elegant. All-in-all, Hometown is a perfect yarn to choose for nearly everything, but if I do choose another yarn, you can be sure it is Lion Brand Yarn!!
