Raglan Sleeve Topper
Lion Brand® Fishermen's Wool®
GAUGE: 21 sts + 26 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Seed Rib pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: PATTERN STITCHES
Seed Rib (over an odd number of sts)
Row 1 (RS): K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2: Purl.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for Seed Rib pattern.
K2, p2 Rib (multiple of 4 sts + 2)
Row 1: K2, *p2, k2; rep from * to end of row.
Row 2: K the knit sts and p the purl sts.
Rep Row 2 for K2, p2 Rib.

NOTES: 1. Topper is worked in 5 pieces; Back, Left Front, Right Front, and 2 Sleeves.
2. All pieces are worked from the lower edge up to the neck edge.
3. Raglan armholes are shaped on each piece by working decreases.
4. After raglan seams are sewn, collar is worked from stitches picked up around neck edge.
5. Topper was designed without buttons. If you would like to close the Topper at center front, we suggest a shawl pin.
6. Circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of sts on the Back and on the front bands. Work back and forth on circular needle as if working on straight needles.
7. When you see 'work even' in the instructions, this means to continue on in the pattern st you have established without changing the st count by increasing, decreasing, or binding off.
