Basic Shrug
Lion Brand® Tweed Stripes®
GAUGE: 14 1/2 sts + 18 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

| I love this pattern. I have made two so far. I did find that it does depend on the yarn type as far as the drape is concerned. I made my second one out of Lionbrand Cotton Ease and the drape was lovely. I did use size 7 needles and cast on 165 stitches instead of 138. My acrylic one needed some slight steam blocking blocking before I stitched it up, to relax the fabric and get rid of the "poof" in the back.
