Short Row Scarf
Lion Brand® Amazing®
GAUGE: 17 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Short Rows are a way to add shaping to a knit piece, without changing the st count by increasing or decreasing. When working short rows, only part of a row is knit before you turn the work. This gradually adds height to one section of the knitting, while the height of the other section does not change.

| I am a beginner and decided to knit this simply because I wanted to know how to knit more "specialty" scarves. Absolutely love the result!!! Easy pattern, but not boring. It did take me a while to finish, but then I don't have as much time to knit as I wish I did. I have no problem with the little holes. In fact,I could hardly see them. Also, I used a different color than suggested. I used "Violets" instead. All in all a great, easy, pick-up-and-go project. I will definitely knit this again!!!
