22 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) over pattern.
When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size
specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be
sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what
the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person.
If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller
size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
SCARF Cast on 47 sts. Row 1 (RS): K3, *p1, k3; rep from * to end of row. Row 2: K1, *p1, k3; rep from * across to last 2 sts, p1, k1. Rep Rows 1 and 2 until nearly all yarn has been used (Scarf should measure about 60 in. (152.5 cm) from beginning). Bind off.
FINISHING Weave in ends.

I made this scarf as a Christmas gift with the Strawberry Fields color. It came out beautiful. I used 4 skeins total so that it would be long enough to fold and pull the ends through the loop. Planning on making this the same way with the Glacier Bay color for myself! :)
