Textured Raglan Jacket

Lion Brand® LB Collection® Organic Wool

GAUGE:

10 sc = 4 in. (10 cm); in Main Pattern 2 repeats = about 5 in. (12.5 cm); 4 rows = about 3 in. (7.5 cm)

When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

4. Move the corner markers to the corner st in each new rnd of the border as you work to mark the increase corner for the next rnd.

Textured Raglan Jacket Reviewed by Mary Ann Cook on 2010-10-21 ****
This is a beautiful sweater and crochets up rather quickly. BUT it does crochet up small! I matched gauge on my swatch and jumped right in on the sweater. My finished sweater measures 43" around the bottom rather than the 50" indicated on the pattern. I haven't blocked it yet, but I can't imagine blocking will find 7" in the sweater! If it does, then I'll keep it for myself. If not, I'll gift it to my mother-in-law for her upcoming birthday and make another one for myself.
