Londonderry Leg Warmers

Lion Brand® Homespun®

GAUGE:

14 sts + 20 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS).
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

LEGWARMERS (make 2)
Cast on 32 sts.
Work in St st (k on RS, p on WS) until piece measures about 14 in. (35.5 cm) from beg.
Bind off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

FINISHING
Seam sides of piece to make Legwarmer. Weave in ends.

Londonderry Leg Warmers Reviewed by Sasha on 2011-11-26 *****
Good pattern=) except one thing: I agree with the pre previous comment - 32 stitches is a too small amount. I am quite short (equals small legs)) and they were almost too tight for me. So if you're an adult (size M), I think you should add 2-6 stitches.
Made these different than suggested: added a 2by2 ribbing at the top and botom, and 4 easy 3to3 cablings. Think they turned out wonderfully :D
Otherwise, if you knit the legwarmers according to the pattern, I think it's a good project for beginners)
