Three Color Cowl
Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®
GAUGE:
16 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st worked in the rnd (k every rnd). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
1. Cowl is worked in St st in the rnd (k every rnd).
2. Follow all Charts from right to left on every rnd, working 12-st rep shown on each Chart a total of 9 times around.
COWL
With A, cast on 108 sts.
Place marker for beginning of rnd. Join by working the first st on left hand needle with the working yarn from the right hand needle, being careful not to twist sts.

Continue in St st, following Chart 1, until Rnd 31 of Chart 1 has been completed.
Chart 2
Work 12-st rep of Rnd 1, Chart 2 around.
Continue in St st, following Chart 2, until Rnd 28 of Chart 2 has been completed.
Chart 3
Work 12-st rep of Rnd 1, Chart 3 around.
Continue in St st, following Chart 2, until Rnd 23 of Chart 3 has been completed.
With C, work in St st for 1 1/2 in. (4 cm) for hem.
Bind off.
FINISHING
Fold 1 1/2 in. (4 cm) at cast on edge to wrong side of work and sew in place with matching yarn. Repeat along bound off edge of Cowl.

Three Color Cowl Reviewed by Stephanie Weber on 2012-12-31
I made this cowl in heathered colours and gave them to my sons. In the right colours, the pattern makes a good "camo" effect and they really liked them. Pattern was easy, well written, and the cowl DOES fit as pictured, unlike most of them.
