GAUGE:
10 sts and 13 rows = about 4 in. (10 cm) in pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES:
Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of sts. Work back and forth on circular needle as if working on straight needles.

I'm in the middle of making this afghan out of Thick & Quick "Hazelnut". It is my FIRST afghan, and it is simply GORGEOUS! Being a relatively new knitter, I was a bit afraid to try something "intermediate", and in the beginning, I found "row 3" to be a real challenge for me...but now I'm SO GLAD I tried it! It's very simple and even easy when you get the hang of it! And I'm thankful to whomever figured out this beautiful pattern and wrote it out for the rest of us to be able to try! I treasure this piece already! Thank you, Lion Brand Yarn! =)
