Lion Brand® Wool-Ease®
GAUGE:
16 sts + 9 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) over Waffle Pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:

This is a fun, easy pattern that looks complicated to the non-crocheter! Once I got the hang of the FPDC, which was new to me with this pattern, this came together quickly. I made this for my dad for Christmas and he was really wowed by it. I didn't tell him that it wasn't difficult! The scarf is thick and very warm, and the thermal look makes it fun.
