Lavish Booties

Lion Brand® LB Collection® Cashmere

GAUGE:

22 sts + 38 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter st (k every row). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

STITCH EXPLANATION:

M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting horizontal thread lying between needles and placing it onto left needle. Knit this new stitch through the back loop.
sk2p Slip 1 as if to knit, knit 2 tog, pass slipped stitch over—2 sts decreased.
ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time, to right needle; insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and knit them tog.

Lavish Booties Reviewed by Allison Coffey on 2011-12-22 *****
I would venture to say this was the cutest quick project I ever knitted- they're perfect! The only complaint is the seam on the bottom of the bootie is a little bulky, it may just be the way I sewed up the seam, but I can see it in the picture also (the stockinette stitch showing).
