Knit Hat
Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® Thick & Quick®
GAUGE: 9 sts = 4 in. (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
NOTES: Hat is worked as flat rectangle, then seamed to make a tube

| After teaching myself to knit and purl on many sizes of knitting needles, I felt confident that I could make this cap in less time. This is good because it did not take so long to complete the project -- about 6 hours or so. It was rather fun, and I made everyone a cap for Christmas in Wool Ease Quick and Thick as well as in Hometown USA yarn. It is fast and easy except for threading the yarn needle with thick yarn. Finally an advanced knitter/friend showed me how to accomplish that with ease.
