2 1/2 Hours or Less Rib Scarf

Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice®

GAUGE:

8 stitches = 4 in. (10 cm) in Garter stitch (knit every stitch on every row) with 3 strands (1 strand each of A, B, and C) held together. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. The needle or hook size called for in the pattern is based on what the designer used, but it is not unusual for gauge to vary from person to person. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make your swatch, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Making a Gauge Swatch

SCARF
With 1 strand each of A, B and C held together, cast on 16 stitches.
Row 1: Knit 1, purl 1.
Repeat Row 1 until about 1 yd. (1 m) of each yarn remains. Bind off.

FINISHING
Weave in ends.

2 1/2 Hours or Less Rib Scarf Reviewed by Cynthia Alsop on 2012-12-19 ****
I initially picked this pattern because I saw in its title "2 1/2 Hours or Less." After reading the other reviews, I don't feel as bad that I wasn't able to complete one in that amount of time. However, since I found this pattern, I have made a total of 5 in 5 days (for holiday gifts) because I loved how beautiful each one come out. The recipients of the scarves all told me how much they loved it.

The only changes I made was that I knitted until most of the skeins were gone and then I added fringe using the remainder based on another reviewer's suggestion. Absolutely beautiful!!! I will certainly be saving this pattern for future use.
