STITCH EXPLANATION:

sc2tog (sc decrease) Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next st and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

NOTES:

Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed.

HEAD
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first chain. Place marker in first stitch for beginning of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 sc.
Rnd 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts.
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts.
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 sts.
Rnds 7 -14: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 15: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts.
Rnd 16: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts.
Rnd 17: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 18 sts.
Fasten off.

BODY
With A, ch 2.
Rnds 1-6: Work same as Rnds 1-6 Head - 36 sc.
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 42 sts.
Rnd 8: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 48 sts.
Rnd 9: Sc through back loop of each sc around.
Rnds 10 -19: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 20: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 42 sts.
Rnd 21: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 36 sts.
Rnd 22: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 30 sts.
Rnd 23: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 24 sts.
Rnd 24: *Sc2tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 18 sts.
Fasten off.

NOSE
With C, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 4 sc in first chain. Place marker in first stitch for beginning of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnds 2 and 4: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 6 sts
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 8 sts
Fasten off.

ARMS (make 2)
With A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first chain. Place marker in first stitch for beginning of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Rnds 3- 10: Sc in each sc around.
Fasten off.

HAT
With B, ch 2.
Rnds 1-5: Rep Rnds 1-5 of Head - 30 sc.
Rnd 6: Sc through back loop of each sc around.
Rnds 7 -13: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 14: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 sts.
Rnd 15: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 42 sts.
Rnd 16: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 48 sts.
Fasten off.

SCARF
With D, ch 71.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across - 70 sts.
Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Fasten off.

POMPOM (make 2)
With E, ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in first chain. Place marker in first stitch for beginning of round; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 sc.
Rnds 3 and 4: Sc in each sc around. Stuff with small amount of fiberfill.
Rnd 5: Sc2tog around.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Following package directions, attach safety eyes to Head. Firmly stuff Head. Stuff Nose and sew to Head. Stuff Hat lightly and sew to Head. Firmly stuff Body, sew Head to Body. Stuff Arms lightly and sew to Body. Sew a Pompom to each end of Scarf. Tie Scarf around neck. Weave in ends.
