GAUGE:
1 Square = 9 3/4 in. (25 cm) in pattern stitch. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Baby Blocks Throw Reviewed by Abigail Whistman on 2011-09-21
An amazing blanket, works up quickly. I have a bad habit of starting blankets and then not finishing, but this wasn't like the others. I made it for my baby cousin, Cailyn, and I finished it in just about a week. I couldn't find the Lion Brand Baby Soft in my local stores, so I used another brand. The colors were almost identical (I used an off-white instead of the light pink).
The only "complaint" I'd have is the fact that it does take a while to stitch all the squares together. Other than that I love it
I'm now working on another one to make for my theater teacher who's having a boy (using two shades of blue, a brown and an off white)! Can't wait!
