GAUGE:
15 dc + 10 rnds = 4 in. [10 cm] working back and forth in sps between dc. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION:
dc2tog (dc dec) Yo, insert hook
in sp between next 2 sts and draw up a
loop, yo and draw through 2 loops. Yo,

Market Bag Reviewed by Jessica Wilson on 2010-03-07
This was one of my first crochet projects (other than amigurumi). I had a hard time joining the rounds. I didn't know when/where to join. My stitch count was off for some reason almost every time. So it is a little funky all down the side where the rounds joined. The handle came out great; my favorite part of the bag. The bottom seems a little basket-like and didn't seem to fit the rest of the bag. Don't know if maybe my gauge was off? A little disappointed with finished product, but maybe because I'm so new at crochet. Unfortunately, I probably won't make this bag again :(
