V-Stitch Cocoon Shrug
Lion Brand® Homespun®
GAUGE: 8 dc + 4 1/2 rows = 5 in. (12.5 cm) in V-st pattern. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
STITCH EXPLANATION: | V-st: Work 2 dc in indicated st or sp.
|
NOTES: 1. Shrug is crocheted in one piece, from neck edge to waist edge. Piece is then folded, and armhole seams are sewn.
2. Ruffle is crocheted directly onto Shrug.

| V-Stitch Cocoon Shrug on 2012-01-20 |

I made 2 shrugs for myself. One in Candy Apple Homespun which turned out quite beautiful. I used 2 skeins of of Candy Apple.
The second shrug was made with 2 skeins black Homespun, and the Ruffle edging was made with 1 ball of Metropolis Homespun.
I however, used 4 different crochet hooks to make this project,I K, N, & P.
N-Hook Rows 1 - 8
P-Hook Rows 9 - 23
H - Hook Finishing neck edge etc
K & N Hook Ruffle Edging
I used 57 Chs instead of 45 Chs.
I always received many positive feedbacks whenever I wear them. This was my first time using Homespun yarn and I enjoyed it.
Thank you.
