GAUGE:

Square = 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 in. (7 x 7 cm). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.

Brand New Baby Sweater and Hat Reviewed by Andrea C. Yizarac on 2009-07-20 *****
I LOVED making this sweater. The squares were quick and fun to make. The recommended colors are perfect. It is probably the best piece of work I have done in a while. If there was a draw back it was sewing it together. If you can't sew get someone who can to help you.
