Knit Floral Block: Bobble Blossom

This generic pattern can be used with whatever yarn and hook/needle size you prefer.

Advanced

Vibrant color adds to the impact of a raised bobble-and-leaf design. Because of the variety of cables involved, the instructions are given as a chart.

METHOD
Yarn Sport-weight wool in lime green (A), fuchsia (B), and bright green (C)

Equipment A pair of knitting needles and a cable needle

Using A, cast on 27 sts by the thumb method.
Now pattern from the chart, reading RS rows from right to left and WS rows from left to right, as indicated by the row numbering.
Note On 17th row begin Leaf 1 shown on the right-hand side of the main chart and on 21st row begin Leaf 2 shown on the left-hand side of the chart. The first row of each leaf is worked (k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) in one st. The st count is then as shown on the charts.
When 33rd row has been completed, bind off knitwise.
To neaten the sides, RS facing and using A, pick up and k27 sts along one edge then bind off knitwise.
Do the same along second edge.
