Great for cool evenings around the fire pit

The pattern was easy to knit and I had the poncho finished in no time. I like the oversize nature of this poncho as it gives me room to move and to add an extra shirt if the temperature drops. The length of the back and front were even, much like the pattern picture. The poncho hit me at the upper thigh which provides adequate coverage for me. I didn't mind the wide neck as I had already decided to wear a shirt under it which holds the shoulders in place. This poncho is so cozy that a couple of friends have already asked me to knit one for each of them.

As to the pattern - Poncho when finished is quite big. The neck opening is too wide and the length of the poncho's back should be longer. It's hardly longer than the front when worn. I had to order another ball of yarn to make the back longer after it was all finished which was no easy task. Jeans yarn is nice and was good to knit with.
