Over the Rooftops Blanket (Knit)

SKU: OVERTHEROOFTOPS

Over the Rooftops blanket is fun to knit with super bulky #6 weight yarn and big knitting needles. This cozy blanket has lots of chunky texture and a seed stitch border. It's easy to knit for a confident knitter using only knit and purl stitches. The name for the Over the Rooftops blanket knitting pattern is inspired by the words in “Step in Time”…a song from one of my favorite movies Mary Poppins. The PDF pattern includes instructions for five (5) blanket sizes: Baby Blanket, Small Blanket, Medium Throw, Large Throw, XL Afghan.

Quick and Easy

I needed to make 3 baby blankets in a short period of time and I finished this pattern in a week. It used large needles (12) and I used a 5 yarn. I used directions for small and added 12 more stiches to get the gauge. So worth the money

Just started this Afghan, love the yarn

3 of the skeins had more than 3 breaks in the yarn.

Great pattern

It was a wonderful surprise to find this pattern in the Lion Brand newsletter! I was looking for something different to knit, and this pattern is just what I was looking for!
Thank you very much for it!

So beautiful and simple to make

I’m really enjoying making this blanket with a tweed yarn. I bring it everywhere with me and people love it too. I plan on making many of them.

No pale blue

I purchased Bellefontaine Concrete Hometown Yarn to make the blanket. The color is described as heathered pale blue and taupe. I have been through three skeins of yarn but have not yet seen any blue in it. It is more like a taupe and cream Heather.
