They have fantastic joins and pliable, clear, nylon cables with a nickel-plated, copper join that is crimped to guarantee no separation. Hook swivels freely on cable. Love How Smooth the Hook Glides

Bought this for learning how to Tunisian crochet. The hook is easy to hold and glides across yarn effortlessly. Although the cord is very stiff and can be a little cumbersome to navigate, overall comfortable to hold and has been a great tool for learning the art.

Nice Hook

This is a beautiful hook but would not recommend it for beginners (I made this mistake). A smoother metal hook is good for beginners, would not recommend bamboo at all. But I am keeping this hook as I become more comfortable with crocheting to use and learn the Tunisian technique.
