Materials: size 4 bamboo knitting needles or aluminum will work. Fingering weight or 3 ply SOFT baby yarn. No tassels, no pompoms, no strings. Just a plain cap.

Children's Hospital in London Ontario Canada recently submitted a classified ad to knitting paradise newsletter. They need baby/preemie caps for babies suffering from shaken baby syndrome. They requested the caps be made of any solid color of purple yarn. Being a lover of knittied baby items, I immediately got busy. I use a size 4 needle and fingering weight, 3 ply baby yarn for these caps. The pattern is a Lion Brand preemie cap pattern I found here. I've attached 3 pictures of little caps I've made and a picture of me. I normally make these caps and donate them to a local hospital nursery and I have another story about that! It made me cry, lol :D
