Lightweight and smooth

Used two different colors and really enjoyed this yarn! It’s soft without being too slippery. Lightweight. Will definitely buy again.

New favorite for baby blankets

Yarn is light and silky and a pleasure to use. It has a lovely drape. I’m using Sea Glass with the linen stitch and it’s working up beautifully.

Tricky To Work

I saw a tank top perfect for summer that required use with cotton yarn. I thought right away to look at my 1st choice of Lion Brand Yarn and saw all the beautiful colors of the 24/7 cotton DK. I wanted a yarn with the matte finish and not the shine of the Truboo. I was thrilled when I received my order and just started into the making of project to realize cotton DK weight is tricky and so much thinner compared to an acrylic level 3 yarn. I have recently used a.level 3 after level 4 and had to get adjusted to the thinner yarn. 24/7 being is categorized as a level 3 weight, but feel light it's heading more towards a level 2. I usually stay with an H hook and up so.to.go with a G hook was also a challenge even though the pattern called for a F hook. With my 50 yrs of crochet experience, the trickinessnof using this year is a challenge for me.and.makes me have to slow down tremendously; I feel.like I'm 5 yrs old again just learning to crochet. Maybe it's also the difference between using cotton versus acrylic, which is my usual my choice for yarns. I will don't want to persuade others from trying or using 24/7 Cotton DK, but just take in consideration it's thinnest. I'm not giving.up yet on using it, but I might try dounling up the yarn using 2 strands to ad thickness and still keep.the cotton feel.I was wanting. It feels like and looks like a very good quality yarn and I've had no problems with any other Lion Brand Yarns. The price was reasonable/average in the consideration cotton yarn is more rare than the acrylic thus pricing is not going to going to be very low. Using sales and coupons to buy would be my advice if you're trying to budget or start of with a small project like a scarf that uses less skeins. My only downfall with cotton yarn in general is it has to flat dry. LB 24/7 DK allows for tumble dry on low, which is a plus in using it too. Give it a try and review for yourself. My 3 stars I'm giving for review is more of a personal choice of likeness than the fact of it's quality. Happy crochet/knitting!!

So soft

This yarn is so soft that I was shocked it was 100% cotton! I really love working with it - it’s so smooth and there’s almost no drag as I pull it through the yarn loops. The gray yarn pictured is the DK (silver lining) but the colors are the regular 24/7 yarn. The two different types of yarn in the same project is from grabbing what was available from the Joanns going out of business sales - but then I bought some online as well. I didn’t realize they weren’t the same till I started the project 🫠 It’s totally been fine combining them but I would rather get all 24/7 DK yarn in the future.
