A Grandmother's Love

Some people chew gum. I knit. When we are ready to leave the house, even for a short stint, my husband always says, "Do you have your knitting?"
A few months ago while sitting in the lobby waiting for my husband to get out of one of his numerous meetings, I was knitting on a pair of socks.
A young man came up to me and said,"Are you knitting socks? My grandmother use to knit me socks when she was still alive."
I told him you really have to love someone to knit them a pair of socks, they are a lot of work for something that wears out.
He said, "I know. That's why I have a drawer full of her socks, all with holes in them, that I can't seem to throw away."
