As a little girl knitting facinated me - but I...
Created By: Lolly Kannai
As a little girl knitting facinated me - but I did not have a pair of knitting needles - i used 2 nails and the yarn from sack and knitted by first 6 stitch belt and the facination began. I knitted hats, bootees, jerseys for about 30 years. Last year I became facinated by scarves and shawls. I decided to knit one in the seven colours of the rainbow and as I knitted each colour I felt the most beauitiful feelings of love enter my hands and after a few months the shawl was complete. As I watched TV one night I decided to cover my self with my rainbow creation. I felt the most beauitful peace overcome me - each colour burst their light into me until I felt like I was a rainbow myself. No I am knitting one with multicoloured squares for my daughter that is a medical student in the University of Pretoria. I told her that Medicine cures but my shawl heals.
Love Lolly
