I don't know if you would call it a...
Created By: Janet Hatcher
I don't know if you would call it a "Ministry" group because it is just me. I have made two for different people. The reason I started making them is because a group made one for my Aunt who had cancer in Atlanta, GA area. It was purple and she loved it and kept it by her chair in her den. She said it reminded her of her mother. She would just rub her hand across it and it would make her feel at peace. When she passed on I had thought I would send the group a check or yarn to make another one. Then I decided to start knitting one and see who the Lord told me to give it to. I have made two and given them away and am now making my third one. I just knit them and then just wait until the Lord lays a person on my heart to give it to. I don't really have much time to work on them because I knit and crochet for other charity groups. I remember Aunt Sarah each time I sit and knit on the shawl. I rememeber the good times we had and how much she meant to me. That is the good part. My prayer is that the shawl I make will bring peace to the person who receives it. I did not know either one of the woman who my two prayer shawls went to but that makes it even better. I make my shawl's in a triangle with fringe. I don't have a picture because I have given them away.
