My Prayer Was Answered

I had been praying that I would find a ministry for my knitting. Our grandchildren were grown and I need to accomplish something while traveling or watching TV in the evenings. Was thrilled when 2 years ago I ordered your book " The Prayer Shawl Ministry". Contacted our church and they were thrilled to have something soft to hand out to hurting people in their support group and those recouperating in the hospital. Also couldn't resist giving one to three elderly ladies who still helped put the church bulletins together. In 2006 I made 22, in 2007 made 25 which 10 were given to ladies in a very small nursing home for Christmas. This year I have 7 done and will do 3 lap ones for gentlemen for Christmas in another nursing home.
Before the shawls are given, the pastor's wife and her prayer partner wrap all the shawls around them and pray over them, also the shawls are annointed. The shawls and yarn are kept in a drawer lined with liner paper called "Angels" that truly has a heavenly scent.
I always have one going that I can pick up and take even when we go for rides. All the patterns in the books are awesome. It is so rewarding to see the look in their eyes that says you care. The Lord definitely answered my prayer to be a blessing to others.
