Momma loves you

My daughter, Mari Casey, is almost 18 years old. She is a special needs child with multiple learning and developmental difficulties and functions at a 6 to 8 year old level.
Very soon she will be moving into a residential living facility for other young adults like herself. She looks at this transition as being similar to when her older from, Joe, moved away for college. She's very excited about moving into independent living, but a little scared, too.
I knit a nice, big prayer shawl with fringe, in her favorite color, pink, and had it blessed. I intend to give her the shawl on the day she moves into the residential home. It's meant to keep her wrapped in love from a mom who loves her very much and is never far away.
