several years ago my husbands grand daughter had serious digestion problems, the Dr. could not find what was wrong. my husband said to me, why dont you make an afgan for Ashley. that is how it started. As I crochet I pray, think positive thoughts. dont watch news or any violence (you dont want to add anything negative). the day I finished the afgan we received a phone call that they found what was wrong with her, and it was something that could be taken care of with diet. I have made many afgans. sometimes I dont know who I am making them for, but beleive me when I am finished there is someone who needs it. I also make them for weddings and babies. as I crochet I ask for what is needed for the couple and baby. It is a wonderful feeling to give someone who is ill, a cozy cover with prayers woven into each stitch. or a cover for baby or couple with special blessings.
so far I have made at least 20 afgans for sick people.
