A lady by the name of Mary O'Brian taught me how to crochet edges called Lover's Knot around handkerchiefs that waitress's wore in their uniform pockets in the late forty's. When I saw that Lionbrand was accepting peoples stories it brought back to me many happy times in my life. I have made many doily's,baby blankets and afgans thru the years. I have three daughters. One loves to sew clothes and two loves to crochet. Both of the girls that crochet our left handed and I am right handed so they would sit facing me so they could learn to crochet. One of my daughter's was not able to have children but has got much happiness out of making baby blankets and afgans for my ten grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren. She and I both are now working on baby blankets for two more greatgrandchildren expected in September and December. Thank God for all our blessings!
