A very pleasant story

I started knitting and crochetting when I was a teenager. My mum taught me the first stitches and I have been hand working up to today.
When I was 15 my mum went to Italy to visit my relatives. She left me with two single women, very old at that time. They encouraged me to do my mum a gift: 3 crochetted cushions.
I improved my skills, looking for explanations on magazines, knitting, doind it wrong, correcting it. That's how I really learned. I was now a teacher to my mum.
I have not worked since January 2006. The company I was working at closed - ended business in Brazil. I am an executive secretary, speak 4 different languages, but I have been giving support at home with my knitting, crochetting, embroidery, patchwork, etc - with classes and selling the handicraft I do.
Teaching knitting and crochetting is a wonderful experience especially because most of the women I teach are old. Some of them very old. And I love them. Each one. Most of teacher and learners, we share our life, our problems, our happiness. We conquer friends.
