My Inner Jump

My mom taught me to crochet when I was nine. It was and still is a great way for us to bond. I had to learn to knit on my own. There is so much satisfaction in my "hobbies", finding great yarn (on sale is even better!), finding a great project you can't wait to start, and finishing a project. The most satisfaction I have ever received was a table cloth for my mother-in-law. Crochet lace that took 8 months to complete. When she opened the box she smiled a big smile and then the tears filled her eyes. She said it was the nicest gift she ever received. Every special occasion there is sits on the table and she gets a lot of compliments on it. It's so nice when someone appreciates what you have put your heart into. There's a lot of love in that table cloth, from me to her and from her to me.
