Another Generation

As I knit each stitch on whatever beautiful project I am working on, I think back to when I was eight years old (43 years ago!) and fumbling through my knit one purl one "lessons" with a family member. The joy and exhiliration are as fresh as when I was first learning to knit - only the stitches have gotten more intricate and the yarns more beautiful!!! As I watch my daughter learn to knit now, I am amazed that this beautiful craft knows no age, and will endure generation after generation. Knitting is COOL and a definite generational bridge. I am also teaching my 74 year old mother to knit - truly creating a bridge between the generations!
