Prayer Shawl

I guess you could say this is an original since I didn't follow any pattern. Some ladies in our church are making prayer shawls and we really enjoy it and so do the people who recieve them. The worst part of making this shawl was sewing in the ends of the yarn left from the stripes. I continued the rose border so that the ends of the yarn would not be on the edge of the shawl. I think that worked well. I made the basket weave pattern except for the white stripes which were two rows of knit. The picture only shows half of the shawl.
